Streamlined data collection
We made it easier to submit data by reducing the number of data points requested and focusing on the data that proved most valuable in 2024.
The NC Center on the Workforce for Health, in collaboration with the Sheps Center, NC Chamber Foundation, and NC AHEC Regions, is gathering its second year of NC Health Talent Alliance data collection, which is designed to drive regional and state action on critical health workforce needs. We will collect data from health employers and health educators for the second year of action-focused analysis.
Employers can submit data through the 2025 Demand Survey in Qualtrics, which includes two options for sharing workforce data:
Data collection for health educators is tailored by the education sector: 4-year programs (public and private), community colleges, and K-12 CTE programs. Educators will submit data through a Qualtrics survey form that aligns with those sectors. We are coordinating outreach through the appropriate state agencies and associations and will update this section as appropriate.
Education survey data (community college and 4-year institutions) reflect trends and key metrics in educational pathways related to the inflows of students into your programs, enrollment, and completion.
Note: The UNC System office provides requested data directly to the NC Center on the Workforce for Health on behalf of constituent campuses using data collected through the nursing expansion grants.

Timely, relevant data is critical to determine priorities and track progress on critical needs.
The Health Talent Alliance data is directly fueling regional collaboratives of employers, educators, and other workforce entities to drive action on addressing pinch points in their local talent pipeline.
The data analysis and regional efforts are informing statewide action and revealing critical points of intersection between local needs and statewide opportunities.
